The Branch Manager - Temp Structures is responsible for the daily operational management of a branch location, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive execution of warehouse, transportation, inventory, workforce, and administrative activities. This position provides leadership and oversight for warehouse operations, drivers, ISR support, inventory accountability, staffing, training, branch operating processes, and operational support functions.

The Branch Manager partners closely with the Area General Manager and District Manager to drive operational excellence, support cross-sell relationships, manage branch operating processes including Catalyst and BCC, and ensure workforce readiness, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and branch performance. What you'll do: Manage overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and process adherence. Oversee warehouse operations, material staging, inbound and outbound logistics, equipment and material readiness, and daily and weekly workflow.

Perform and monitor daily operations including warehouse inspections, inventory movement, staging, loading and unloading, delivery preparation, documentation, and reporting. Own Catalyst execution, BCC process execution, and related branch operating processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely completion. Oversee operational support activities to ensure process execution, internal service levels, and branch operational support.

Identify and resolve operational risks or workflow conflicts impacting branch readiness, inventory availability, or service execution. Own inventory accountability, including cycle counts, audits, inventory accuracy, damage trends, replenishment coordination, and material readiness. Oversee drivers and transportation-related operational activities, including delivery coordination, DOT compliance, and driver performance.

Manage branch operational budget, purchasing authority, labor costs, and operational expenses in accordance with company guidelines. Partner with the Area General Manager, sales, and cross-functional leaders to support cross-sell relationships and operational readiness for growth opportunities. Manage branch personnel across warehouse, driver, ISR, and operational support functions.

Supervise personnel development and training, including performance appraisal evaluations for team members. Manage workforce planning, labor scheduling, staffing levels, accountability, attendance, and productivity to meet operational goals. Ensure all safety policies and procedures are being followed at all times.

Manage all safety matters including audits, training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations, PPE requirements, and drug and alcohol testing. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures in regard to new hires, terminations, performance issues, payroll, training, and documentation. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education Minimum 5 years of successful operations management, warehouse leadership, logistics management, or branch operations experience Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience Experience managing inventory, workforce planning, operational budgets, and process Experience leading multi-functional operational teams Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, transportation, and workforce planning Strong organizational, motivational, and communication skills (both oral and written) Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word and Excel Understanding of operational metrics, budgeting, productivity management, and performance improvement processes Ability to manage branch operating processes, including Catalyst, BCC, safety, compliance, and documentation requirements Ability to support cross-sell relationships and partner effectively with sales, branch, district, and area leadership Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to train, coach, and motivate employees at all levels of the branch structure Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
