JOB TITLE: Institutional Financial Aid Coordinator                                

DEPARTMENT: Student Resources and Financial Aid    

SUPERVISOR: Associate Director of Student Resources and Financial Aid

PAY RATE: $15.00/hour

HOURS: 39/week                     

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Southeastern’s Institutional Financial Aid Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all institutional aid. This includes managing an assistant, helping individual students, processing aid, updating scholarship information, and awarding.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer Institutional Financial Aid
    • Ensure students complete all requirements for disbursements as defined by institutional policy, donor agreements, and scholarship providers
    • Update applications and the website
    • Communicate key information to students and offices
    • Confirm student eligibility, awarding, and disbursing funds
    • Reconcile funds
    • Update institutional policies, procedures, and information
  • Supervise and assist Office Assistants in completing assigned tasks
  • Provide office leadership
    • Assist in the development of overall office strategy
    • Help coordinate and lead office projects
    • Represent the Financial Aid team in a professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming manner
    • Gain a general knowledge of external and government financial aid
  • Participate in all meetings & committees assigned, provide new ideas, and support
  • Complete training as required and assist in the training of staff as requested
  • Other job duties as assigned
