Overview

Oversee the strategic development and management of our global finance shared services organization, process optimization and technology efforts.  This role is integral to ensure that our financial systems, processes and controls are efficient, scalable and aligned with the overall business strategy.  The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive globalization efforts and ensure financial as well as operational excellence.


Responsibilities
  • Provides vision and leadership to Finance Shared Services team to achieve strategic objectives while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Develop and implement strategic roadmap for Finance Shared Services, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, centralize, improve and automate financial processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, usefulness and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Oversee globalization of financial operations, ensuring seamless integration of processes, technology and personnel.  Provide strategic oversight for captive and/or outsourced finance shared services.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of shared service and globalization efforts.  Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures that are best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and Data Analytics & AI organizations to leverage AI and other technology solutions that support and enhance financial operations, ensuring robust financial systems that facilitate scalability and globalization efforts.
  • Ensure accurate, timely and transparent financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making by senior management and stakeholders.  Prepare capital and operating budgets for the cost center(s) and analyze interdepartmental reports as they relate to the cost center(s).  Achieves cost center projections through labor expense and administrative expense controls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate statutory financial accounting, reporting, and compliance for international subsidiaries, including direct management of the Finance Leaders.
  • Act as key liaison between finance and other departments, building strong relationships and fostering open communication to support business objectives.
  • Recruits, selects, hires, and evaluates performance of personnel to ensure all department needs are handled appropriately.  Counsels and develops staff for personal and corporate advancement through career development, training programs, and other resources as required for professional advancement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance - Required
  • Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance - Preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Accounting and Financial Planning and Analysis.
  • 8 years of experience in Management experience.

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $170,000 - $220,000 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
