Description
The Lead Program Manager of Capture and Development will oversee and coordinate captures and programs within the Engines Line of Business. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of assisting in the capture and managing complex programs and projects. The Lead Program Manager will work closely with senior leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the program execution of a capture is well thought out and documented, meets the overall purpose as defined by business development, and that assigned projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
Essential Functions:
  • Work with Business Development in development of capture plan and provide project technical approach and management plans as well as execution planning documentation.
  • Lead engineering and other technical stakeholders in development of customized Statements of Work.
  • Work with customers to establish requirements, associated threshholds, and objectives, where required. Ensure with engineering that proposed solution wil meet requriements and that any variances are fully disclosed.
  • Develop program planning and execution documentation, to include schedule, WBS, etc for assigned pursuits. Set up programs for success as pursuit works towards request for proposal.
  • Assist in definition of optmized engine overhaul kits in conjunction with BD and engineering to meet multiple customer needs.
  • Project manage multiple concurrent engineering development projects to meet needs of pursuits under direction of Business Development.
  • Manage project budgets for assigned projects

Position Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field with 9+ years Program Management experience or equivalent.
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related field with 7+ years Program Management experience or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • DOD Programs or military experience
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite products
  • Proficient in MS Project or similar scheduling
  • Previous experience in Defense for manufacturing company
  • Excellent written and oral skills with proven ability to brief at CEO/President level
  • Must have entrepreneural character with ability to think outside normal technical and business constraints.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Working understanding of project and business financial terms and requirements (EVMS a plus)
