SUMMARY: The Filtration Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth by identifying new customers, uncovering new opportunities within existing accounts, and leveraging the sales force across the US to expand the company's market presence with Filtration technologies. This role also requires maintaining industry expertise and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver integrated solutions.

Lead Generation
  • Identify filtration opportunities within our current customer base.
  • Pursue new business opportunities through networking, research, and prospecting.
  • Utilize CRM to manage, track, and prioritize potential opportunities.
  • Disseminate leads to the sales force and track progress to conclusion.

Sales Development
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive filtration sales growth.
  • Drive creation of suitable marketing collateral and digital marketing material.
  • Inspire and equip associates to clearly communicate the benefits of our filtration products and solutions.
  • Conduct joint sales calls with sales representatives to target existing customers.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, challenges, and regulatory requirements to position the company as a trusted advisor and solutions provider.

Relationship Building:
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with key customer decision-makers, supplier partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration with credit, accounting, supply chain, and customer service teams.

Market Research:
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive products.
  • Attend industry events when appropriate.
  • Gather customer insights to inform strategy and product positioning.

Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Regional Sales, Field Service, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, and Strategic Suppliers to deliver integrated product and service solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to drive campaigns and awareness.
  • Partner with RSMs and supplier partners to pursue new business and drive product development.

Proposal Development
  • Lead or support the preparation of strategic proposals, bids, and presentations for key accounts and high-value opportunities.

Requirements
Training:
  • Deliver and facilitate training across all regions to support sales enablement.

Inventory:
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to optimize inventory levels and support growth initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

EXPERIENCE:
  • 5 years of related experience in business development.

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently deliver expected results.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proficient in business software, including Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong sense of resolve and perseverance.

  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills.
  • Strong work ethic pursuing a high standard of excellence.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some movement from area to area, transporting items such as a laptop computer, paper, books, and small parts. Must be able to operate at warehousing and manufacturing sites. Travel is required up to 50% of the time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to general office environment. Overnight travel will be required; work outside normal business hours is required to meet commitments.
