Job description

Albright College is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach to support the daily operations of a competitive NCAA Division III program. This position works closely with the Head Coach and contributes to on-court instruction, player development, recruiting support, and overall program culture.

This position includes room and board as part of the compensation package.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with on-court coaching, including practices, drills, and game-day responsibilities
  • Support individual player development, including skill work and positional training
  • Assist in building a positive, accountable, and team-first culture
  • Aid in recruiting efforts, including communication with prospective student-athletes and occasional evaluations
  • Help coordinate recruiting visits and outreach
  • Assist with film breakdown and basic scouting preparation
  • Support game day operations (bench coaching, film, logistics)
  • Monitor and encourage student-athlete academic success
  • Assist with team operations, including practice setup and administrative tasks
  • Support summer camps and clinics as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or currently pursuing one
  • Previous playing and/or coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate or high school level
  • Passion for teaching and developing student-athletes
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes and staff
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
  • High energy, reliability, and a strong work ethic
