The Foundation & Community Engagement team serves as the community and philanthropic arm of the New York Mets.Within the department lives the Amazin' Mets Foundation, which is "committed to providing needed services and opportunities to children, families, and under-served groups in our neighborhoods and communities."

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for aDigital Communications Specialist that is creative anda tech-savvy storytellerto join our team, reporting to theSenior Manager,Communications and Executive Director of the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation. TheDigital Communications SpecialistwillassisttheSeniorManager,Communications supporting the communications goals of the Foundation to help advance the missions of the organizations and the philanthropic vision of thePresident of the Foundation.

Specifically, you will:

  • Design and produce high-quality, on-brand digital collateral using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva for use across social media, web,and externalcommunications

  • Develop polished layouts, graphics, and visual systems for reports and presentations,leveragingInDesign and Illustrator to translate data and impact into clear visual narratives

  • Maintain and updatethe Foundation and Community websites, including content edits, page creation, and visual updatesusingthe Foundation's content management system

  • Assist theSenior Manager,Communications with communications plans, programs, and activities that support the Foundation& Community Engagementteamsuch as:

  • Organizingcommunications materials, including press releases, media advisories,annual reports,and coverage summaries that reinforce the Foundation's story

  • Assistingwith managing mailing lists, distributing, and tracking engagement of internal and external communications using Mailchimp and Salesforce campaigns

  • Providingquarterly reporting and campaign effectiveness reports,identifyingkey analytics

  • Establishinga content calendar that schedules allaspectof creation and delivery throughout the year,utilizingprograms such as Sprout Social orHootsuit

  • Identifyand apply AI and automation tools to streamline monitoring, reporting, and data tracking, reducing manual work and creating more space for strategic storytelling

  • Collaborate with various internal and external content creators (designers, video editors, etc.);includingworking with the Mets team photographersand productions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor'sdegreein graphic design, digital media, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+years of experience indigitalcommunications, includingsocial media or equivalent related work, creating visual content for digital platforms and print materials

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organization skills and ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

  • Self-motivated and self-reliant with a hands-on approach

  • Demonstrated ability toidentifyhigh-quality content pieces

  • Strong digital copywriting skills

  • Ownership mindsetofwork, combining strategic thinking with strong execution and attention to detail

  • Exerciseofsound judgment and discretion, handling sensitive information and fast-moving situations with composure and care

  • Experience with photography equipment and film editing software, including understanding of shooting video and taking photos

  • Strong portfoliodemonstratingvisual storytelling, digital design, and brand-aligned creative work

  • Familiarity withMailChimp,Hootsuite, andClassy

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office products

  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights,weekendsand holidays

  • Some travelrequired, including some local travel to secondary work locations
