Is AI replacing video editors?

Skilled editors proficient in editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro are sought after, especially for freelance or part-time roles that require strong technical and storytelling skills.

How much do film editors make hourly?

Film editors typically earn between $20 and $50 per hour, depending on experience, project complexity, and whether they work freelance or full-time. Entry-level editors may start at lower rates, while experienced professionals with specialized skills or working on high-budget projects can earn higher wages. Many film editors also work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines.
