Eraclides Gelman is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team. Position Overview:
As a Legal Assistant, you will support our attorneys in managing Workers' Compensation defense files. This role requires energy, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. We provide training for individuals with office or administrative experience who are looking to grow their careers in the legal field.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents under attorney supervision
  • Maintain trial and discovery calendars and coordinate key events
  • Assist attorneys with litigation tasks, including dictation, scheduling, electronic filing, and case file management
  • Perform additional administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:
  • Prior legal experience is a plus, but we are open to training individuals with administrative or office experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Experience in Aderant Sierra software a plus
  • High School Diploma required
