Compensation:

$60,000 - $80,000 yearly


Responsibilities:

You will own the settlement and disbursement phase of our injury cases, including:

  • Managing settlement files from agreement through final disbursement and closure
  • Coordinating insurance carrier settlement paperwork and follow-up
  • Reviewing and tracking releases
  • Monitoring funding status and ensuring timely payment
  • Communicating with clients throughout settlement and disbursement
  • Preparing settlement statements and disbursement packages
  • Coordinating trust account disbursements
  • Issuing checks to clients, medical providers, lienholders, and referral partners
  • Tracking and resolving medical liens
  • Negotiating lien reductions when appropriate
  • Working closely with bookkeeping/accounting regarding trust account compliance and reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate notes, deadlines, and workflow in CASEPeer
  • Ensuring clean and timely file closures
  • Identifying bottlenecks and improving settlement systems/processes

Qualifications:

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of personal injury settlement/disbursement experience
  • Familiarity with lien negotiation, medical billing, settlement disbursement, and trust accounts
  • Experience with legal case management software (CasePeer or similar preferred)
  • Experience working with bookkeepers and accounting teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage a high-volume caseload
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential client, firm, and financial information with discretion
  • Ability to prioritize multiple settlement files at once
  • Problem solver who takes initiative without being told what to do
  • Team player who values co-workers
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required
