Elevate Yourself. Elevate Others. Elevate the Future!

Field Sales Trainer – SMB Energy Solutions
Suburbs of Chicago | Base Salary + Uncapped Commission | Lead From the Field

We’re expanding our field sales organization and looking for a motivated B2B Field Sales Trainer who knows how to build, coach, and inspire high-performing sales teams.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being in the field — not behind a desk. You’ll mentor and develop a team of outside sales representatives who canvas local small and midmarket businesses (SMB) to introduce business owners to energy solutions through Constellation New Energy (CNE) that help reduce electricity and natural gas costs.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead from the front by canvassing alongside your team and demonstrating effective door-to-door B2B sales techniques.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop sales representatives through ride-alongs, field observations, and real-time feedback.
  • Help your team build daily prospecting plans focused on connecting with 40–50 SMBs per day.
  • Train representatives on consultative selling, customer conversations, and identifying business energy savings opportunities.
  • Drive accountability, team engagement, and consistent sales performance.
  • Build a positive, competitive culture focused on teamwork, growth, and winning.

What You’ll Get

  • Base Salary + Uncapped Commission (First Year OTE $70K–$120K)
  • Training incentives and performance bonuses
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance
  • 401(k)
  • PTO + Paid Company Holidays
  • Leadership growth opportunities
  • Ongoing sales training, tools, and support
  • Recognition programs, incentives, and team events

What You Bring

  • Proven success in B2B outside sales, door-to-door sales, or field canvassing
  • Experience selling to small and midmarket businesses (SMB) preferred
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a team in a fast-paced field environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with business owners
  • A competitive mindset and passion for helping others succeed
  • Comfortable using CRM tools and sales technology
  • Field leadership or sales training experience preferred

Requirements

  • Effective and collaborative communication skills
  • A valid US Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Authorized to work in the United States

This role is ideal for a sales professional who loves the energy of the field, enjoys developing people, and wants the opportunity to build a winning sales team.
