Stormwater Repair Crew

Pay: $18- $24 an hour- Full-time


Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Experience in the following disciplines is desirable: fisheries, wildlife management, conservation, ecology, biology, environmental sciences, or forestry, pond/lake maintenance, landscaping, erosion control, or stormwater maintenance
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work in various weather conditions
  • Comfortable working around water, slopes, and environmental risks (bees, poison ivy, etc.)
  • Great communication skills and ability to interact with multiple audiences, including but not limited to the Operations Team, subcontractors, vendors, and others.
  • Team-oriented and aligned with Dragonfly's values: Quality Focus, Takes Ownership, and Growth Oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the field supervisor
  • Complete repairs and maintenance on ponds, lakes, and other stormwater control measures, including: Turf establishment planting, hand or machine excavation, grading, erosion repairs, tree removal, and site stabilization
  • Operate and maintain equipment safely (slope mowers, Ventrac, front-end loaders, mini-excavators, skid steers, other)
  • Perform manual labor tasks such as moving materials by wheelbarrow, including rip rap, mulch, and dirt
  • Maintain and repair ponds, lakes, and stormwater control measures (planting, spreading seed, mixing bags of concrete by hand, and using a shovel to move gravel)
  • May be asked to work in confined spaces, may have to enter and crawl in pipes and precast structures
  • Collection of company-owned equipment and tools at the end of the day
