Job description

SKILLS:
Must be able to follow instructions
Warehouse experience desired
Must have your own transportation
Punctual
Mechanically inclined
Door installation experience a plus
Knowledge of carpentry desired
Inventory
Welding (MIG & Stick) a plus (Certification not required)
Operate Fork & Scissor lifts
Work with grinders, skill saws, chop saws, jig saws, levels
Problem solver
Good communications skills
Clean driving record
Able to pass Federal/State/Local background checks
Social Security Number

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Installing overhead commercial doors, dock seals and bumpers, garage doors, commercial personnel doors, interior solid core wood doors, commercial hardware, restroom partitions and restroom accessories. Knowledge of installation of warehouse truck docking equipment, gate openers, overhead door motors and sensors. Must be able to operate a variety of hand tools to perform service and onsite repairs that include springs, motors, brackets, remotes and related equipment with little assistance. Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and welding techniques are a plus. Maintain a clean, neat & orderly work area. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety at all times and insures quality. Job functions may vary depending on work assignment and may require assistance in various areas of operation. We will provide door installation and repair training.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequent requirements include but are not limited to: Standing, lifting of 50lbs, carrying 50lbs, walking, pushing, stooping, bending, climbing, crouching, reaching above and below shoulder level. Full use of hands, good finger dexterity, lifting from floor to waist and twisting of torso. Also includes working in cramped garages, on ladders and with power tools and perform manual labor in an exterior environment exposed to heat, sun, humidity, and other adverse weather conditions.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Serve as a liaison between Alamo Door Systems and the customer. Always conduct yourself in a professional manner in appearance and communications at all times.
