About the Opportunity:
Chelsea Piers Field House Brooklyn seeks a Youth Preschool Sports Coach. Chelsea Piers is part of NYC’s premier sports and recreation community, offering elite and grassroots soccer programming for all ages. Our Youth soccer program includes classes for players of all ability levels between the ages of 2 and 14. This position will work specifically with our soccer programs for children ages 2 to 5 in a fun, active, and nurturing environment that develops motor skills, socialization, and a love of movement.

As a Youth Preschool Sports Coach, you will be expected to:

  • Lead engaging, age-appropriate soccer and movement classes for toddlers and preschoolers
  • Create fun, structured lesson plans that build coordination, confidence, and teamwork
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and exciting learning environment
  • Communicate with parents about class activities and child progress
  • Support seasonal events, evaluations, and special programs

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience working in youth sports or physical education, specifically for the ages 2 to 5
  • High energy, patience, and creativity with young children
  • Soccer background or experience teaching motor skills to toddlers/preschoolers preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
  • US Soccer Grassroots License or early childhood education coursework, a plus
