Job description

Field Account Manager

We are seeking a Field Account Manager for our Distribution Centers. This is an exciting opportunity to increase sales and profitability for the Schmidt Baking Company along with assigned customers. We exceed customer expectations through a continuous improvement process by leveraging our employees, independent operators, and supplier resources. Schmidt Baking is looking for individuals who have a passion for delivering 100% Customer Satisfaction through consistent, predictable, high-quality products. The Field Account Manager will report directly to the assigned Area Sales Manager

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and work with the Area Sales Manager along with various Depot Managers to ensure proper growth and service is being met in assigned accounts
  • Demonstrate various sales methods
  • Solicitation of new accounts
  • Plan and execute off shelf opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Investigate customer complaints
  • Conduct business reviews with assigned accounts
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct resets as needed
  • Be prepared to support depot operations when the need arises

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of sales experience
  • Some college preferred
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to multitask
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel
  • Able to work weekends and holidays
  • Driving is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license along with achieving and maintaining DOT certification
