Job Description:

Are you interested in applying your analytics skills while tapping into knowledge about data sources from across Fidelity's wide range of businesses and technologies? Do you want to work alongside business associates to generate new insights, build automated workflows, and support improved decision-making?

If so, join our team and take this exciting opportunity to learn about and work with data from across the enterprise. Examples include analyzing detailed client and customer data from Fidelity's recordkeeping systems. You will also understand how investment products are built and develop analytics on new products like cryptocurrency and trading apps.

The Role

In your role as Senior Manager, Data Analytics & Insights within Fidelity's Legal, Risk, and Compliance (LRC) group, you will work closely with Fidelity's Risk team, as well as Audit, Compliance, Legal, and GSI teams. You will also collaborate with customer-facing business units and key data providers to identify areas where data uncovers risk insights. You will participate in every stage of a data analytics project, beginning with defining the business question or hypothesis. You will pinpoint appropriate data sources, collect the necessary data, perform advanced analytics, and share the findings. You will apply data to respond to ad-hoc inquiries and develop data-driven solutions for firm-wide use.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or primary degree or equivalent experience, ideally in an analytics or technical field

  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience in data and analytics

  • Proficient at programming in languages like SQL, Python, and/or R

  • Analytic expertise working with structured and unstructured data to identify key insights

  • A proven understanding of ETL tools and processes (Alteryx, Informatica, etc.)

  • Experience performing data exploration, building business intelligence reports, and developing visualizations (using Power BI or Tableau)

  • You are skilled at effectively defining use cases and have demonstrated analytical/problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions to uncommon and complex problems

  • Consistent track record communicating insights in a simple, clear, and actionable way

  • Naturally keen attention to detail, collaborative, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly in the brokerage businesses

  • A passionate can-do attitude to your work

  • You are dedicated to collaborating across departments to deliver the best outcomes for Fidelity and our customers

  • Natural intellectual curiosity, initiative, and love for learning new skills and capabilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of cooperating seamlessly with cross-functional business partners

The Team


The Data Science, Analytics, and Alts team sits within the broader FI and Quantitative Risk organization. We operate across a diverse set of functions, including analytics, technology, program delivery, and strategy, to provide insight and solutions that help identify, measure, and manage risk.

We partner closely with teams across Risk, the CFO organization, and other business units to deliver scalable, data-informed solutions. Our team is focused on outcomes and value, with a strong emphasis on improving efficiency, enabling better decision-making, and advancing the use of data and technology across the firm.

Fidelity's Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
