PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Stress Engineer. If you're passionate about structural analysis, aircraft design, and engineering innovation, this is your opportunity to help ensure the safety, performance, and certification of cutting-edge aerospace programs.

About the Role

As a Stress Engineer, you'll perform structural analysis on metallic and composite aircraft structures, supporting designs from concept through certification. Working with cross-functional engineering teams, you'll provide the technical expertise needed to validate structural integrity and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

What You'll Do

  • Perform structural analysis using classical hand calculations and finite element methods (FEM).

  • Analyze primary and secondary aircraft structures for static strength, fatigue, and damage tolerance.

  • Prepare structural substantiation reports, engineering documentation, and technical presentations.

  • Support design reviews, structural sizing, and load path development for new and modified aircraft structures.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and customers throughout the design and certification process.

  • Support certification activities in compliance with FAA, EASA, and TCCA requirements.

  • Perform Material Review Board (MRB) activities as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of stress engineering experience in the aerospace industry.

  • Proficiency with FEM tools such as Patran, Nastran, Nasgro, or Altair.

  • Experience with CATIA V5 and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong understanding of aircraft structural load paths, static analysis, fatigue, and damage tolerance.

  • Knowledge of civil aircraft certification requirements and certification processes.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

Preferred:

  • Material Review Board (MRB) experience.

  • Experience in an aircraft integration role or similar cross-functional engineering environment.

Pay Details: $1.00 per hour
