The Director, Streaming & Fandom Marketing is the senior executive responsible for leading Cineverse's end-to-end growth strategy across its entire streaming ecosystem-including 8 owned DTC brands, 11 owned FAST channels, 13 licensor FAST channels, and 4 partner SVOD brands. This leader oversees the full marketing engine driving subscriber acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue performance across owned and partner platforms.
This role also serves as the operational and cultural bridge between the U.S. Hollywood business environment and Cineverse's Kolkata-based Services team, which includes specialists across ASO, CRM, Merchandising, Copywriting, Campaign Management, Insights, Performance Marketing, and Product Marketing. The Director is responsible for hands-on training, onboarding, skill development, and daily workflow leadership to transform early-career talent into high-performing operators who can execute at Hollywood standards.
The Director directly leads 100+ annual title marketing initiatives, owning GTM planning, filmmaker/licensor approvals, and cross-functional alignment. This role also owns brand strategy and growth for all 8 DTC brands, ensuring each brand has a clear identity, audience strategy, and performance roadmap.
Finally, this leader is the primary partner-facing executive for 70+ platform partners, owning merchandising strategy, promotional alignment, and ongoing partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Leadership Across 35+ Streaming Brands
  • Lead marketing strategy and execution for 8 O&O DTC brands, 10 O&O FAST channels, 13 licensor FAST channels, and 4 licensor partner SVOD brands.
  • Own brand positioning, audience strategy, and growth plans for all DTC brands.
  • Ensure consistent brand identity, messaging, and performance across all platforms and channels.

Title Marketing & GTM Leadership (100+ Titles Annually)
  • Directly own and lead GTM planning for 100+ annual titles for streaming releases.
  • Present and secure approvals from filmmakers, licensors, producers, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee marketing strategy, creative strategy, campaign architecture, media planning, and cross-platform rollout plans.

Global Team Leadership & Talent Development (U.S. + India)
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary India-based team across ASO, CRM, Merchandising, Copywriting, Campaign Management, Insights, Performance Marketing, and Product Marketing.
  • Build structured onboarding programs, daily training cadences, and hands-on coaching to elevate Indian talent to Hollywood-caliber execution.
  • Define team structure, workflows, and operating models to support scalability and operational excellence.
  • Manage daily workload distribution, QA processes, and performance standards across all functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.

Owned Media Leadership & Cross-Channel Synergy (CTV, Digital, Editorial, Audio, In-App)
  • Lead the strategy, planning, and optimization of Cineverse's owned media ecosystem, including CTV inventory, homepages, newsletters, push, in-app messaging, editorial, audio, and display.
  • Build and maintain owned media flowcharts, impression forecasts, and allocation models across all channels.
  • Ensure synergy across CRM, merchandising, editorial, social, and CTV placements to maximize reach, consistency, and ROI.
  • Partner with the Owned Media Specialist to ensure campaigns deliver against impression goals and business priorities.
  • Drive cross-channel storytelling that unifies brand, title, and platform marketing into a cohesive consumer experience.

Platform & Partner Leadership (70+ Partners)
  • Serve as the primary marketing lead for 70+ platform partners, including Roku, Amazon, Samsung, LG, Vizio, and MVPDs.
  • Own merchandising strategy, promotional alignment, and partner-facing communication.
  • Ensure partner platforms receive timely updates, optimized metadata, and high-impact promotional assets.
  • Drive organic and paid growth through partner collaboration and platform-specific strategies and direct pitching.

Full-Funnel Growth & Lifecycle Marketing
  • Own subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention across owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Oversee lifecycle marketing across CRM channels (email, push, in-app), optimizing user journeys from acquisition through retention.
  • Lead experimentation, A/B testing, and optimization across messaging, creative, and merchandising.

Martech & Product Co-Leadership
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to define and build Cineverse's streaming martech infrastructure, including CRM systems, attribution tools, analytics pipelines, and automation workflows.
  • Identify gaps in marketing technology and lead the roadmap for new tools, integrations, and platform enhancements.
  • Drive development of attribution frameworks, audience segmentation systems, lifecycle automation, and merchandising tooling.
  • Ensure marketing requirements are translated into product specs and delivered through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Champion technology innovation in workflows, metadata optimization, and automated campaign execution.

Data-Driven Marketing & Performance Insights
  • Establish a data-driven marketing organization with strong attribution, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable strategies that improve efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Partner with Business Analytics, Product, and Finance to align KPIs, reporting cadences, and growth models.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Executive Influence
  • Partner with Product, Programming, Business Development, and Creative to align marketing with company-wide priorities.
  • Represent streaming marketing in executive-level discussions, influencing strategic decisions and advocating for growth initiatives.
  • Ensure marketing plays a central role in annual and long-range planning (including FY2027).

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in marketing, with deep expertise in streaming, digital media, and entertainment.
  • Proven track record leading growth across owned and partner streaming platforms.
  • Experience managing and developing global teams of various skill levels in an offshore model.
  • Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, platform merchandising, ASO, CRM, performance marketing, and owned media.
