Fast Channels Streaming information

What are fast channels in streaming?

FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) channels are streaming TV channels that provide viewers with free content, supported by ads, and typically delivered in a linear, scheduled format similar to traditional television. These channels are accessible over the internet through various streaming platforms and smart TVs. FAST channels offer a wide range of programming, including news, movies, sports, and niche content, making them an attractive alternative for cord-cutters who want a TV-like experience without a subscription fee.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in fast channels streaming roles?

To thrive in Fast Channels Streaming, you need a strong understanding of video content distribution, digital media workflows, and OTT (over-the-top) streaming platforms, often supported by experience in broadcast or digital media industries. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), ad-insertion technologies, streaming protocols (like HLS or DASH), and analytics platforms is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional communication skills help professionals manage rapidly changing content and technical requirements. These skills enable seamless streaming operations, maximize viewer engagement, and ensure competitive delivery in the fast-evolving digital media landscape.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in fast channels streaming, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in Fast Channels Streaming often encounter challenges such as managing high volumes of live content, ensuring seamless playback across devices, and rapidly adapting to evolving viewer preferences. Addressing these requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, familiarity with streaming platforms, and close collaboration with content, marketing, and technology teams. Staying current with industry trends and adopting agile workflows can also help professionals stay ahead and deliver a smooth viewing experience.

Job description

About Us:
Trellis is a fast-paced, growth-driven company transforming how brands succeed in e-commerce through innovative technology and commitment to excellence. We build the tools and infrastructure that power smarter advertising decisions - connecting product, data, and media in ways that drive real business outcomes for our customers. As a fast-moving team, we value people who are hands-on, curious, and comfortable owning problems end-to-end.

About the Role:
Trellis is looking for a Content & Community Manager to help build how Trellis shows up across social channels, digital communities, industry conversations, and events.
You will manage our day-to-day social presence, create and coordinate content, develop recurring themes and programs with Product Marketing, and support virtual and in-person events.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can write, publish, coordinate, engage, and execute. You will help turn product stories, industry insights, customer voices, and live moments into consistent market engagement.
What you'll do:

  • Manage Trellis' social presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit, and other relevant channels.
  • Create, schedule, publish, and manage social content in partnership with Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, and leadership.
  • Develop recurring editorial themes and content programs tied to products, customer pain points, industry trends, research, and events.
  • Turn product launches, customer stories, research, announcements, and events into posts, clips, recaps, blogs, and sales-supporting content.
  • Support community-led and Reddit-based launches, conversations, and engagement programs.
  • Build and manage an integrated social, content, and events calendar.
  • Support webinars, roundtables, conferences, dinners, trade shows, and hosted events, including speakers, guests, vendors, logistics, and communications.
  • Coordinate video production, content capture, creative requirements, and content repurposing.
  • Build relationships with customers, partners, creators, speakers, and relevant industry voices.
  • Support PR, media activity, partnerships, and major company initiatives in collaboration with leadership and external partners.
  • Measure social engagement, audience growth, content performance, event participation, and contribution to pipeline.

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing, social media, community, events, or field marketing.
  • Hands-on experience managing brand social channels and creating content.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong project-management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience supporting virtual and in-person events.
  • Good judgment around brand voice, social engagement, and public conversations.
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines, stakeholders, and content streams.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience measuring content, social, and event performance.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, ecommerce, advertising, marketplaces, or technology is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel for key events.

Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package
  • Stock Options
  • 3 Weeks Paid Vacation
