Job Duties

To ensure modern dairy techniques and technologies are applied to provide a quality milk producing dairy herd of 200 cows and 200 herd young stock. Provide training and supervision to inmate workers to ensure proper cattle management, including handling and feeding of herd. Assist other areas of Agribusiness to support operational needs. Provide training, supervision and evaluation to inmate workforce while performing all farm tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

General knowledge of maintenance and operation of farm equipment, cattle production, building construction and land management. Demonstrated ability to operate farm equipment and demonstrated ability to supervise, follow written and oral instructions, keep accurate records and solve practical problems.

Additional Considerations

Agricultural, construction or equipment experience. Pesticide Application Permit and Artificial Insemination or the ability to obtain them.
