About the Role

Atlas Fibre is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift CNC Mill Setup Technician to set up and operate FANUC ROBODRILL CNC machining centers. The ideal candidate has experience with precision milling, independently performing setups, making offsets, verifying first articles, and troubleshooting machining issues while maintaining tight tolerances.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate FANUC ROBODRILL CNC machining centers.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
  • Install tooling and establish work and tool offsets.
  • Set up vises, fixtures, and workholding.
  • Verify first article inspections and make necessary offset adjustments.
  • Monitor tool wear and replace tooling as needed.
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain quality and production standards while following all safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of CNC mill setup experience.
  • Experience setting up and operating FANUC ROBODRILL or similar FANUC-controlled CNC machining centers.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and height gauges.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain tight tolerances in a production environment.

5. ROBODRILL Experience
