Position: Sustainability Co-op

Primary Location: Remote

Schedule: Full time hourly

Reports To: Corporate Environmental Manager

Compensation:ย $22 - $29 per hour. Hourly rates are determined by role, level, and location.ย ย  The hourly rate displayed on each job posting reflects the starting rate for new hires for the position.ย ย  Rates may also be determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.ย ย  More specific rate factors for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process.ย

Scope of Position

The focus of this position will be on assisting sustainability team with developing, collecting and analyzing sustainability data.ย 

Qualificationsย 

  • Education: Pursuing a degree in sustainability or related ย 

  • Duration: Commitment to 16 weeks terms preferable

  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of sustainability programs and metrics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and presentation skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.ย 

Responsibilitiesย 

  • Data Analysis:Collect, analyze, and interpret data on energy, water, waste, and emissions.ย 
  • Strategy & Implementation:Assist in developingย and implementingย initiatives to meet sustainability goals, improve resource efficiency, and reduce environmental impact.ย 
  • Reporting:Assist preparingย internal and external sustainability reports (e.g., GRI, CDP,ย Ecovadis), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with internal teams (operations, marketing) and external partners (customers, suppliers, regulators).
  • Research & Compliance:Stay current on sustainability regulations, trends, and best practices, providingย expertise and training.
