Job Description Position Title: Technical Training Commodity Manager Location: Auburn Hills, MI Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Training Commodity Manager to lead the development and management of automotive technical training programs. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with deep automotive knowledge and a passion for creating impactful, hands-on learning experiences. Key Responsibilities: Define and develop courseware for automotive technical curriculum.

Conduct training needs analyses and participate in solution planning meetings. Recommend appropriate media formats and instructional methods based on course objectives. Collaborate with engineers, instructors, and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and effective learning outcomes.

Perform research and hands-on product analysis, including component and vehicle disassembly, to gain detailed product knowledge. Ensure consistency and quality by adhering to established specifications and style guides. Manage development timelines from project initiation through course delivery.

Oversee multiple training course development projects simultaneously. Conduct "train-the-trainer" sessions to support instructor readiness. Maintain and update existing training materials to reflect evolving technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of automotive systems and components. Degree in Automotive Technology or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience accepted. 5+ years of experience in automotive technical training, curriculum development, or related roles (or 1-2 years with an automotive technology degree).

Ability to perform and demonstrate automotive service procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines.

Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word). Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience with e-learning tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, and Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign) is a plus.
