Sensus, a Xylem brand, is looking for an RMA Technician to support product testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis for returned equipment at our Morrisville, NC location. This role works closely with customers and internal teams to diagnose product issues, document findings, and assist with repair evaluations and reporting.

What your day will look like as an RMA Technician
The RMA Technician will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, and evaluating returned products using standard engineering and troubleshooting techniques. This position includes hands-on hardware testing, failure analysis, repair support, and detailed reporting of findings. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with electronic testing equipment and technical documentation.

This position primarily works standard day shift hours in an office and lab environment with a regular 40-hour work week.

Position Requirements for RMA Technicians

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field preferred

  • High School diploma with military electronics/avionics training or related experience considered

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude

  • Experience troubleshooting and testing electronic equipment preferred

  • Ability to use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation preferred

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

  • Hand soldering experience or IPC/JEDEC certification is a plus

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the facility as needed

  • Ability to work safely in an office and lab environment
