Raytheon Industry 4.0 - Smart Digital Factory and Automation (SDF&A) has an immediate career-growth opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative Software Systems Engineer team member to join our Team. As a Digital Factory developer, you will be a key contributor to design, development, integration, testing and deployment of advanced IIoT / Industry 4.0 technologies based in Ignition. Additionally, this role will perform root cause corrective action (RCCA) for any hardware and software issues identified in the SDF&A products in the manufacturing factory while supporting data analytics and data visualization efforts. The role will be in close collaboration with digital factory engineering, chief engineers / architects, front end of the business, and SDF&A / factory leadership and will include all aspects of the product development lifecycle - planning, requirements, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment. Our Connected Factory Intelligence & Automation (CFI&A) organization delivers advanced IIoT / Industry 4.0 technologies based in Ignition and plays a key role across manufacturing environments. Raytheon Innovators - Advanced Manufacturing What You Will Do * Execute projects involving Ignition application development.
* Contribute to IIoT continued growth and deployment by working with sensors, gateways, connectivity solutions, APIs, and data analytic platforms.
* Provide recommendations and execution on methods to connect manufacturing equipment to IIoT/OT layer network
* Set communication protocols and network configurations on network devices (EIP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT, etc).
* Contribute to major team projects as well as work with minimal oversight to solve complex problems supporting SDF&A Engineering Systems.
* Analyze and correlate large, complex data sets; support digital thread implementation; develop and execute analytics reports and visualization toolsets while ensuring data integrity.
* Expected to Travel 10% of the time. What You Will Learn * Exposure to Industry 4.0 subject matter experts and Digital Technologies teams, gaining hands-on experience with Ignition, IIoT systems, and modern factory connectivity
* How to support and execute full product lifecycle activities - requirements, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment - for digital factory systems
* Skills in analyzing and correlating large manufacturing data sets to improve digital thread continuity and deliver meaningful insights to factory leadership
* Practical system integration experience that enhances your ability to provide reliable, actionable data, enabling customers to make informed operational decisions
* Technical leadership fundamentals through mentorship, collaboration with engineering leaders, and exposure to influential individuals across Raytheon Qualifications You Must Have * Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
* 5+ years related experience, to include Ignition SCADA development using combination of tools such as: SQL, Python, C#/.NET, HTML5, JSON
* Experience with scripting and dashboarding
* Experience with Azure DevOps services framework or similar Agile Project Management tools
* Experience with Industry 4.0 key concepts - connectivity, data collection, IIoT, systems integration, AI, machine learning, ISA-95, Pub/Sub.
* Experience with data analytics with skills that demonstrate the ability to prepare, process, analyze, and visualize significant amounts of information from multiple data sources. Qualifications We Prefer * Ignition gold certification or willingness to achieve within first year
* Experience using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus/TCP, MQTT, EIP, SECS/GEM, etc.
* Strong communication, project management and collaboration skills; experience working across organization boundaries
* Experience building APIs and creating web applications
* Experience with Splunk!, PowerBI, GraphQL, Tableau, SQL Server, SAP, Eyelit, Windows Task Scheduler Automation, SQL Server job agent automation, SQL Server SSIS
* Experience with big data and data mining
* Experience in distributed controls, cyber security, IT infrastructure integration or other related fields
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
