Job description

The Mesa Production Manager oversees the Mesa Production team. The Production Manager is focused on meeting revenue and cost targets that support ABT’s goals and objectives. The Production Manager reports to the Operations Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises the Mesa Production team members
  • Helps drive Production team to meet or exceed Company established monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue goals
  • Holds the Production team accountable to tasks and goals
  • Facilitates daily meetings
  • Helps hire, train, coach and discipline Production team members
  • Evaluates Production team member performance
  • Evaluates and recommends appropriate labor and overtime requirements to assure proper staffing levels
  • Creates a culture that adheres to processes, procedures and controls for effective production
  • Promotes a culture of safety. Supports environmental, health and safety philosophies and processes that reduce workplace injuries and environmental impact
  • Promotes a culture of quality. Ensures systems and processes are compliant with applicable Quality standards
  • Ensures Production team members comply with company, government, and customer requirements
  • Develops strong relationships with other teams including Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Programs, and Scheduling
  • Implements Lean Manufacturing Methods, including Visual Management and 5S
  • Performs other tasks as required by Manager

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing or minimum 4 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of production planning and materials management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
  • Minimum 3 years Lean manufacturing experience
  • Experience with Quality standards
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally
