About the role
As part of our team and the broader Veralto network, you'll supervise the daily activities of welding, machining, final assembly, and operation material support functions. You'll prioritize, assign, and monitor tasks and work assignments to meet the shipment plan, track cell-level key performance indicators (KPIs), maintain visual daily management (VDM), and assist the Factory Manager with problem solving and other continuous improvement activities.

In this role, a typical day will look like
  • This position operates on a 1st shift schedule (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday-Friday) and requires flexibility to support occasional overtime and Saturday operations based on business needs.

  • Prioritizing and assigning resources to complete production and shipment objectives consistent with the organization's quality, compliance, regulatory, and cost requirements.

  • Monitoring cell output on a regular pitch and facilitating workflow to eliminate delays and ensure production and shipping schedules are met.

  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety of the work area, ensuring proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss of capacity and materials.

  • Coordinating with other department team leaders and supervisors to meet required shipment dates.

  • Assisting with training and providing ad hoc on-the-job training when appropriate.

  • Ensuring quality of orders by interpreting blueprints, travelers, and established methods and procedures.

  • Partnering with Purchasing and the Material Supervisor to maintain and improve design inventories.

  • Promoting a safe work environment by delivering safety training, managing near-miss kamishibai, and other cell audits.

  • Enlisting support from the indirect support team (engineering, purchasing, etc.) to resolve delays in production or delivery schedule.

  • Tracking KPIs at the cell level, maintaining VDM, and following up with associates and action plans to promote accountability across the focus factory.

  • Ensuring sustainment of countermeasures by implementing reinforcing changes to SOP and Standard Work.

  • Assisting the Factory Manager with problem solving and other continuous improvement activities, and providing detailed suggestions for production recovery when required.

  • Reinforcing Veralto Enterprise System culture by sustaining 5S, SOP/Standard Work, and open, constructive communication with associates around the factory's Value Stream Transformation Action Plan.

The essential requirements of the job include
  • Previous experience in a leadership role.

  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet or exceed assigned deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; self-motivated, self-starter, with a strong sense of urgency.

  • Ability to present complex or difficult messages clearly, concisely, and persuasively.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks simultaneously, with strong analytical thinking.

  • Comfortable with change and a willingness to learn, with an excellent work ethic and the ability to perform both independent and team-based tasks.

  • Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel (basic formulas & charts).

  • Experience with MRP, SAP, or ERP systems.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000 USD per year.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
