This role operates in a remote setting, with opportunities to conduct virtual therapy sessions tailored to the needs of our clients. As part of our child and adolescent psychiatry team, you will engage in regular meetings and case consultations, ensuring seamless coordination of care with your colleagues. • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing evidence-based tools and methodologies to evaluate their emotional and psychological needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect the unique circumstances of each young individual, factoring in their developmental stages and family dynamics.
• Provide various evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family counseling, addressing a wide range of conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions that empower parents and caregivers to foster emotionally supportive environments at home.
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and allied professionals to ensure coordinated care, sharing insights and updates on treatment progress during team meetings.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies involving young clients, demonstrating quick decision-making and compassion.
• Educate patients and families about mental health challenges, available treatment options, and community resources that can support their journey.
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate actively in continuous professional education, staying updated on emerging research and trends in pediatric mental health care.

This role primarily serves children and adolescents struggling with various mental health issues. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse populations, ensuring equitable access to mental health resources and tailored treatments for each patient’s unique experiences and backgrounds.

• Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.
• Demonstrated expertise in child and adolescent mental health, including a strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic practices.
• Proficient in engaging children and families, establishing rapport through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications.

• A minimum of two years post-licensure work experience in a mental health setting, with treatment experience in pediatric populations.
• Ability to effectively deliver individual and family therapy tailored to the developmental needs of children and adolescents.
• Experience in crisis intervention and working with multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable.

The position offers an annual salary range of USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
