Job description

Job Title: Microsoft Fabric Architect

Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid: Twice in a month)

Role Focus - Microsoft Fabric Architect
We are specifically looking for candidates with strong, hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric. This is a critical requirement, and profiles must demonstrate end-to-end project implementation within Fabric. Candidates should have worked on Lakehouse architecture, OneLake, Fabric Pipelines, and PySpark within the Fabric environment.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:

12+ years overall experience in data engineering/data platform roles.

2+ years of hands-on experience architecting and implementing on Microsoft Fabric.

Strong proficiency in SQL (performance tuning, complex transformations, analytics-ready modeling).

Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory (or Fabric pipelines), including orchestration patterns and parameterized pipelines.

Strong hands-on development in PySpark for scalable transformation workflows.

Experience implementing CI/CD for data workloads (Azure DevOps/GitHub, automated deployments, environment management).

Strong understanding of data engineering fundamentals (ingestion, transformations, modeling, orchestration, testing).

Strong knowledge of modern data architectures such as Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold), Data Vault, and related patterns.

Hands-on knowledge with semantic layer creation, report creation and DAX functions (this is listed in good-to-have. Should be moved to must-have)

Capacity planning and Workload optimization

Good-to-Have Skills:

Experience with Snowflake (architecture, migration, performance).

Experience with Microsoft Purview for cataloging, lineage, and governance.

Strong understanding of data governance, security, and lineage within the Microsoft ecosystem (access controls, auditing, compliance).

Exposure to Power BI and Semantic Models (DAX/modeling is a plus).

Fabric certifications DP-600 and DP-700

Purview and Fabric integration

Soft Skills:

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical architecture.

Ownership mindset with the ability to lead delivery and drive outcomes

Key Technical Skills Required:

Strong SQL (performance tuning, complex transformations)

Hands-on PySpark (preferably within Fabric)

Fabric Pipelines & orchestration

Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)

CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps / GitHub)

Mandatory experience with Power BI, including semantic models and DAX
