Job description

We are working with a textile manufacturer that produces technical woven fabrics for industrial applications. This is a hybrid role that allows you to be on-site at the manufacturing facility near Roanoke, VA, and also work remotely from your home office. This role can be full-time or a contract/part-time position as well.


Technical Fabric Designer

  • Lead Technical Design of Woven fabrics- developed to meet customer specifications
  • Work with yarn vendors to identify the best yarn for the specific fabric you are developing
  • Work closely with the lab, weaving manager, and engineers to identify the best materials and processes to create fabric for customers
  • Work alongside the Product Development Team to present ideas and troubleshoot problems
  • Hybrid role split between home office and time onsite at the plant in Roanoke, VA


Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder
  • Must have 10+ years of experience as a Woven Design
  • Must be in Roanoke, VA weekly.
