What are FHRs?

FHR typically stands for Fetal Heart Rate, a measurement used in obstetrics to monitor the heartbeat of a fetus during pregnancy and labor. Healthcare professionals use FHR monitoring to assess the well-being of the baby, detect distress, and guide decisions during childbirth. The FHR is usually recorded using electronic fetal monitoring equipment, which provides real-time data on the baby's heart rate patterns. Abnormal FHR readings can indicate issues that may require medical intervention to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.
