Job description

Job Summary
The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down the hotel's complimentary breakfast area. This role ensures guests have a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming dining experience while providing friendly customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Food & Beverage Setup
  • Prepare and arrange the breakfast bar before service (hot and cold items, beverages, condiments)
  • Follow brand standards for presentation and food safety
  • Ensure all items are fresh, properly labeled, and replenished throughout service

Guest Service
  • Greet guests warmly and assist with questions or requests
  • Maintain a positive, helpful attitude to enhance the guest experience
  • Address minor guest concerns or escalate issues when needed

Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Keep the breakfast area clean, sanitized, and organized at all times
  • Wipe down tables, chairs, counters, and equipment regularly
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and serving equipment
  • Properly store food and supplies after service

Inventory & Restocking
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages
  • Restock food, beverages, and supplies as needed during service

Closing Duties
  • Break down and clean the breakfast station after service hours
  • Dispose of waste properly and follow health and safety regulations
  • Prepare the area for the next day's service
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous food service or hospitality experience is a plus
  • Ability to work early morning shifts (often starting around 5:00-6:00 AM)
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Lift up to 25-50 lbs (supplies, food trays, etc.)
  • Perform repetitive tasks such as bending, reaching, and cleaning
