Job Description

We are seeking an operational leader to oversee the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities within Global Media Operations (GMO). This new role will be responsible for deploying AI-driven technologies that reduce manual touchpoints across the operation in alignment with our LRP. These solutions will power automation and innovation, increase productivity, improve scalability, and support 24x7 operational teams.      

We are looking for someone with foundational experience working within the media industry and who is passionate about technology, including AI and automation. A successful candidate will strive to understand a variety of operational workflows, collaborate to get things done across a matrixed organization, and communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization. Blending an understanding of operational workflows, project management, AI tooling, and business acumen, the ideal candidate will effectively utilize their diverse skillset to transform GMO through AI and automation.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and prioritize AI and automation opportunities within GMO by defining problem statements, clarifying jobs-to-be-done, quantifying current costs, and articulating a clear value proposition in alignment with our LRP
  • Help define GMO’s AI strategy and next-generation content supply chain by building a reference architecture and defining agents and sub-agents
  • Lead teams of knowledge workers and builders to create workflows, skills, and agents within approved platforms
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI and automation solutions across the project lifecycle
  • Lead the operational rollout of AI solutions, including SOP development, user training, and adoption measurement
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and other O&T teams to deliver integrated, scalable, and secure AI solutions aligned to NBCUniversal’s enterprise governance standards
  • Engage external vendors to scope AI and automation solutions, while maintaining strong relationships to stay current on evolving capabilities
  • Act as a liaison to NBCUniversal’s Enterprise AI organization to leverage training, accelerators, and best practices while contributing to broader AI enablement initiatives
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a media-related field preferred
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in media, with experience delivering complex operational or automation projects
  • 2+ years of relevant experience owning a portfolio of initiatives and prioritizing work based on business impact
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product roadmaps and align cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in workflow documentation, technical analysis, project management, and product roadmaps
  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex initiatives into business value
  • Background in television, film, or digital media distribution 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Experience with project management and workflow systems and tools (Lucidchart, Airtable, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office 365) 
  • Acute attention to detail  
  • Good interpersonal communication skills 
  • Comfortable compiling regular updates and presentations for an executive level audience
  • Able to work well in groups or teams 
  • Highly organized
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional off-hours, weekends, and holidays, to support 24x7 Operations
  • Able to easily ‘translate’ operational requirements to technical audiences
     

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
