Overview
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the VP of Boxed Beef/International Sales Director, the International Sales Representative is responsible for supporting and executing all aspects of export sales, from initial order through final delivery to the destination country. This role facilitates export sales for proper routing, documentation, and pricing along with facilitating production of export specific production of fresh and frozen offal and boxed beef products. This role involves fostering key client relationships, driving market expansion, and building internal and external relationships. International Travel is required for this role
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Revenue Growth and Margin Optimization:
    • Establish the best possible sales price for beef products and authorize written and verbal purchase agreements with international customers.
    • Coordinate closely with accounting and logistics teams to ensure accurate documentation, compliance with payment terms, and on-time delivery.
    • Collaborate and negotiate with overseas customers and agents to grow export sales, including providing pricing and weekly product availability.
    • Work with VP of Boxed Beef and VP of Grinds to identify the best possible sales channels for available inventory.
    • Correspond daily with export agents and customers.
    • Negotiate sales with export agents and importers.
    • Work to fulfill shipping volume requirements with scheduling, shipping and warehouse personnel.
    • Work with accounting dept. to ensure proper payments and terms.
    • Work with the Warehouse Division to ensure all inventory items are being shipped as ordered.
    • Collaborate with export coordinator and scheduling to make sure documents and insert labels meet country regulations and are set up correctly in the system.
    • Monitor inventories to ensure sold items are being made as ordered and offer items as they become available.
    • Offer pricing and weekly availability.
    • Expand sales into profitable current and new international markets.
  • Ensure Compliance:
    • Facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements for export counties.
    • Mitigate risks associated with commodity price volatility and market fluctuations.
  • Track & Advise Performance:
    • Implement innovative short and long-term international sales strategies, including but not limited to new product development and identify additional revenue streams.
    • Review sales performance by customer, region, product, and other unique identifiers.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ year of experience in protein sales, with a minimum of 3 years in protein export sales.
  • In-depth understanding of commodity market(s), pricing strategies and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in various national and international markets.
