Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Client Overview

This opportunity is with a major global manufacturer of materials science and technology products, supporting the optical fiber division of a company with a large corporate presence in the Corning, NY area. This role sits within the customer service organization, managing domestic and international customer orders and coordinating the logistics that get fiber products from plant to customer. You'd be working across order management, shipping, and pricing functions, with regular interaction across planning, quality, finance, and commercial teams worldwide.

What You'll Do

  • Manage assigned domestic and international customer accounts to execute accurate, error free transactions
  • Receive, validate, and enter customer orders using ERP order management systems
  • Create shipment bookings and logistics templates for export and international orders
  • Reference routing guides to select carriers and request quotes as needed
  • Maintain and create new process documentation for global customer service locations

  • Associate degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
