Job description

Resource Innovations is seeking an Experiential Events Specialist to join our growing team in Worcester, MA. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experiential Events Specialist with a strong background in transportation, event setup, and customer-facing onsite engagement to join our dynamic team. As an Experiential Events Specialist, you will support our event operations by transporting, setting up, and managing our mobile lab, which houses residential appliances, HVAC, and battery storage equipment, at various event locations. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to represent our client with professionalism and enthusiasm, and technical aptitude or a willingness to learn.
Resource Innovations (RI) is a women-led energy transformation firm focused on impact. Building on our expertise in energy efficiency, we're constantly expanding our portfolio of clean energy solutions to guide utilities through increasingly complex, connected challenges. Load flexibility. Electrification. Carbon reduction. With every step, we're leading the charge to power change.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a tow vehicle and trailer to transport the mobile lab to event locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle, trailer, and exhibit are event-ready and meet safety standards.
  • Own operational approval to attend events based on safety, regulatory, logistical, or operational needs. Manage setup, teardown, and presentation of the mobile lab at event sites.
  • Coordinate with event teams, hosts, and partners to ensure smooth and timely delivery and placement of the lab.
  • Represent the client professionally at all events and deliver a positive attendee experience.
  • Share program or product information with attendees in an engaging and approachable manner.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for logistical coordination of event activities and onsite execution
  • Assist with outreach efforts to identify potential event hosts and support future event opportunities.
  • Support one-to-one engagement with stakeholders, partners, and attendees during events.
  • Create and maintain safety and logistics SOPs related to lab activations.
  • Inspect the mobile lab exhibit before events to confirm all materials and equipment are in working order, resolving non-routine issues without step-by-step direction
  • Perform post-event clean-up, wash-down, and reset activities to prepare the lab for future use.
  • Assist with storage warehouse tasks and coordinate routine maintenance needs between events.
  • Determine effective use of lab equipment and technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Valid driver's license required; proven experience towing large trailers or heavy loads highly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical coursework in Electrical Technology, Renewable Energy Systems, HVAC, Energy Efficiency, Event Management, or Logistics preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Familiarity with event setup processes and handling fragile equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting vehicle/trailer issues.
  • Customer service mindset with problem-solving ability.
  • Attention to detail and time management under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.
  • Professional appearance and ability to engage positively with clients and event attendees.

Preferred skills, education and experience
  • DOT Compliance, Defensive Driving, Event Management, and Electrical Safety certifications are a plus
