Position: Executive Vice President (EVP)

Reports To: Ownership / Board of Directors

Position Overview

The Executive Vice President will serve as the senior operating leader for a nationally recognized floor covering manufacturer serving both the residential and hospitality/contract markets. This executive will have full responsibility for driving strategy, growth, and operational excellence across all business units, effectively functioning as the company’s top day-to-day leader.

This role requires a dynamic, hands-on executive who can balance strategic vision with operational execution, lead high-performing commercial and operations teams, and guide the organization through its next phase of growth and modernization.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Leadership

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for all company functions including sales, marketing, operations, product development, supply chain, and finance.

  • Partner with ownership and the board to develop and execute long-term strategic plans.

  • Drive organizational alignment, accountability, and performance across all departments.

Commercial & Growth Strategy

  • Lead national sales and business development efforts across residential and hospitality channels.

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to expand market share, strengthen key accounts, and enter new segments.

  • Oversee pricing, channel strategy, product positioning, and major customer relationships.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee global sourcing, manufacturing partners, logistics, inventory management, and quality.

  • Improve operational efficiency, service levels, and scalability.

  • Implement systems, processes, and KPIs to support growth and profitability.

Financial Leadership

  • Full P&L ownership with responsibility for revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost discipline.

    • Flooring, textiles, building materials, home furnishings, or related manufacturing industries.

  • Proven experience leading multi-channel sales organizations (residential + contract/hospitality preferred).

  • Strong operational background with exposure to global sourcing and complex supply chains.

  • Demonstrated success with full P&L responsibility.

  • Strategic, yet highly execution-oriented leadership style.

  • Track record of scaling organizations and leading through growth or transformation.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
