Residential Security Program Manager, Executive Protection

The Protective Operations team at Apple manages the security of our most valuable asset: our people. As one of the most closely watched companies in the world, Apple has security needs that are broad and unique. This group develops solutions for issues across our global Executive Protection, Talent Protection, and Event Security functions.

Description

Our Executive Protection team is seeking a Residential Security Program Manager to design, implement, and oversee security programs protecting executive residences. This role combines physical security expertise with program management to ensure comprehensive, discrete protection for principals and their families at their homes. Key responsibilities include:Develop and manage residential security programs, including residential security team (RST) staffing, physical security systems, access control, and perimeter protection.Knowledge of the incident management life cycle to include escalation processes, notification channels, and conducting after action reviews.Establish and maintain residential security standards, SOPs, post orders, and emergency response protocols across all supported residences to ensure consistency and operational readiness.Develop performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate RST program effectiveness.Coordinate with Executive Protection, GSOC and GS Technology teams to align residential security with overall principal protection strategy.Conduct ongoing comprehensive security assessments and risk analyses for multiple residential properties.Develop and manage vendor relationships for security technology, guard services, and installation contractors.Oversee budget planning and program costs for residential security initiatives.Coordinate and cultivate relationships with local law enforcement.Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding principal residences and family matters.Act as the primary principal contact for operational matters regarding residential security programs.Manage security staff or contracted personnel assigned to residential posts and projects.Stay current on residential security technology, emerging threat trends, and best practices.Conduct regular audits and drills to test security systems and response procedures across the program.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in residential security program management, executive protection, or related physical security roles
  • Experience managing uniformed guard forces or residential security teams
  • Strong understanding of integrated residential security technologies, including access control systems, CCTV, alarm systems, and security technology integration
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field
  • Strong understanding of a broad range of residential security technologies and smart home platforms, including access control, intrusion alarm systems, video surveillance (CCTV), drones, and other integrated smart home and security technologies.
  • Tech sector and leadership experience highly desirable
  • Background in Executive Protection (EP) or residential security operations
  • Experience in both public and private sector security roles
  • Familiarity with high-net-worth or high-profile principal protection environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership, possessing strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborative abilities, and strong attention to detail
  • Experience managing multiple vendor relationships and contracts
  • Excellent judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Willingness to be available 24x7 and holidays as needed
