Kentucky Horse Park is seeking qualified applicants for the position of KHP Visitor Experience Director in theVisitor's Center.
Located within minutes of downtown Lexington, the Kentucky Horse Park is a 1,224-acre working horse farm,equine theme park, and internationally renowned equine competition facility. Founded in 1978, the Park isowned and operated by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and attracts over 1 million visitors from around the worldannually. The Park includes a 260-site campground, the Alltech and Rolex arenas, the International Museum ofthe Horse, a Smithsonian affiliate, and much more.
The ideal candidate will be a hard worker, have professional office experience, have customer service skills,and work well with a team or on their own.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Responsible for the supervision of employees within the Visitor's Center and Gift Shop
  • Provide training for employees as to operation of cash drawers, switchboards, movie theatres, etc.
  • Responsible for all administrative functions at the Visitor's Center
  • Provide daily, monthly, and annual reports as it relates to the Visitor's Center and Gift Shop
  • Ensuring customers are provided with quality service; resolve complaints or issues that arise
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Four years of professional administrative experience
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:A master's degree in public or business administration or a relatedfield will substitute for one year of the required experience
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Additional administrative, business or research experience willsubstitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
