Overview

Position Summary

Lemartecโ€™s VP of Operations is responsible for the overall performance and P&L of their assigned projects, effectively developing new revenue streams, securing new client/project contracts, evaluating operational processes and procedures, developing strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of operations. The position provides leadership for the operating performance of the respective Project(s), from lead generation and the development of client relationships, through the monitoring and controlling of construction projects through administrative direction of all assigned resources, including all construction staff, to ensure projects are built on schedule, within budget and in compliance with Company policies, and that client satisfaction is attained. Serves at an executive leadership capacity and is responsible for creating & effectuating the companiesโ€™ ongoing strategic plan and other strategic growth and development objective.

Responsibilities

โ€ข Responsible for full P&L oversight of multi-project, multi-region portfolios ranging from $750M to $3B+, ensuring revenue growth, margin enhancement, cash flow management, and predictable financial performance.
โ€ข Provide executive leadership across high-volume sectors including data centers, transportation, sports facilities, and wastewater treatment plants, adapting delivery strategies to diverse project types.
โ€ข Serve as the single source of truth for project performance, driving accountability, ownership, and transparency across all assigned operations.
โ€ข Oversee risk management, forecasting discipline, and scheduling controls to ensure scalable operations and consistent project outcomes.
โ€ข Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned projects and regional teams.
โ€ข Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams, promoting strong emotional intelligence, steady leadership under pressure, and a culture of safety and accountability.
โ€ข Planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving complex operational issues.
โ€ข Partner closely with Project Executives, project teams, and preconstruction to align procurement strategies, staffing plans, and delivery systems including design-build and GMP structures.
โ€ข Lead, promote, and comply with all Company policies and procedures while driving continuous operational improvement.
โ€ข Develop and execute strategic operational plans aligned with company growth objectives and regional expansion.
โ€ข Achieve client satisfaction goals, key performance indicators, and business development targets, leveraging an established industry network and book of business.
โ€ข Responsible for assisting in the effective hiring, training, retention, and scaling of teams in coordination with corporate support departments.
โ€ข Maintain executive-level relationships with key vendors, owners, clients, and general contractors to support staffing strategies and long-term partnerships.
โ€ข Ensure system fluency and operational integration utilizing platforms such as Oracle and procurement systems to maintain reporting accuracy and controls.
โ€ข Interface with all company support groups to maintain open and current lines of communication and reporting.
โ€ข Regularly confer with executive leadership on business continuity, succession planning, and long-term operational scalability.
โ€ข Actively contribute as a member of the Companyโ€™s Senior Leadership team, supporting strategic growth, operational excellence, and organizational alignment.
โ€ข Other duties as requested by the President and/or Vice Presidents.


Qualifications

Work Experience and Education

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; Masterโ€™s preferred.
  • 20+ years of progressive construction experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing multi-project, multi-region portfolios $750M+ is required
  • Proven P&L responsibility with strong performance in revenue growth, margin enhancement, cash flow management, forecasting, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience delivering complex projects across sectors such as data centers, transportation, sports facilities, and wastewater treatment plants under delivery models including design-build and GMP.
  • Strong business development background with established client relationships and executive-level systems proficiency (Oracle, Primavera, Procore, Viewpoint, Microsoft Office).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Deep understanding of and experience serving key market sectors including data centers, transportation, sports and entertainment facilities, and wastewater treatment plants, with the ability to adapt operational strategies to the unique demands of each.
