Job description

Key Responsibilities:
Agile Coaching:
  • Mentor and guide teams in the adoption of Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by coaching teams on Agile principles, values, and practices.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and Agile ceremonies to educate teams and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
  • Identify impediments and work with teams to remove them, ensuring smooth delivery and high productivity.

Jira Administration:
  •  Serve as the Jira expert, providing guidance on best practices for Jira configuration, customization, and usage.
  •  Create and maintain Jira workflows, boards, dashboards, and reports to support Agile practices.
  •  Assist teams in creating and managing user stories, epics, tasks, and other Jira artifacts.
  •  Troubleshoot Jira-related issues and provide technical support to users.
  •  Stay up-to-date with the latest Jira features and updates, implementing improvements as necessary.

Agile Transformation:
  • Lead Agile transformation initiatives across the organization, tailoring Agile frameworks to meet team and project needs.
  •  Assess current processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend Agile methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  •  Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategies that drive Agile adoption at all levels.
  •  Measure and track the progress of Agile adoption and maturity, reporting on key metrics and outcomes.
Collaboration & Communication:
  • Facilitate effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Promote a collaborative environment, encouraging open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and transparency.
  • Support cross-functional teams in achieving high levels of performance and delivery.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile coaching, Scrum Master, or related roles.
  • Extensive experience with Jira administration, configuration, and customization.
  • Proven track record of leading Agile transformations and driving organizational change.
  • Experience in a variety of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and SAFe.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles, values, and methodologies.
  • Proficient in Jira administration, including creating workflows, dashboards, and reports.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
  •  Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Certified Agile Coach) is a plus.
Compensation 
Hourly Rate Range - $40-$60/ hr
