Blackstone is the worldโ€™s largest alternative asset manager. The Corporate Affairs department plays a critical role in shaping and guiding the firmโ€™s communication strategies, both internally and externally.

Overview

Public Affairs is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of the firmโ€™s brand, communications to internal and external stakeholders, and developing media relations strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support planning for media interviews, conferences, priority travel, firm milestones, and other highโ€‘visibility engagements.
  • Assist the broader Public Affairs team during critical communications moments, especially those involving senior executives (e.g., quarterly earnings, major announcements, or firm milestones).
  • Draft press releases, ensuring consistency and clarity across all communications.
  • Contribute to the executive briefing process, including ownership of briefing materials for media interviews and publicโ€‘facing engagements, working closely with stakeholders across Public Affairs and Blackstone business units.
  • Collaborate to monitor media coverage and provide insights to executives.
  • Support the firmโ€™s internal communications approach and craft clear, engaging messaging for companyโ€‘wide updates, announcements, and events.
  • Staff executives for select interviews and events, coordinating with internal Blackstone groups and external parties on preparation, followโ€‘up, and review processes (e.g., legal and stakeholder approvals).
  • Lead content creation and review processes for social media.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and communications skills, with an interest in public relations.
  • Selfโ€‘motivated, confident, teamโ€‘oriented, capable of working in dynamic environments.
  • Strong writing, analytical, research, evaluation and presentation skills.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Well organized, selfโ€‘starter with the capability to work on multiple initiatives and prioritize.
  • Knowledge of digital communication strategies and social media platforms.
  • Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).
Compensation & Benefits

Expected annual base salary range: $85,000 - $115,000. Base salary will be determined by experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles outside the US, separate compensation processes apply.

Additional compensation and benefits include comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, FSA); paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; discretionary bonuses; and potential equity and incentive compensation at Blackstoneโ€™s sole discretion.
