What are Executive RAN Engineers?

Executive RAN Engineers are senior professionals responsible for overseeing the planning, deployment, and optimization of Radio Access Networks (RAN) within telecommunications organizations. They play a key role in ensuring high network performance, capacity, and reliability, often managing teams of engineers and coordinating with other departments. Their duties may also include developing strategies for network expansion, troubleshooting complex network issues, and staying up-to-date with emerging wireless technologies and standards.

How does an Executive RAN Engineer typically collaborate with cross-functional teams during network deployment projects?

As an Executive RAN Engineer, you will regularly collaborate with teams such as RF engineering, core network, project management, and field technicians throughout network deployment projects. You may be responsible for communicating technical requirements, coordinating timelines, and troubleshooting issues that arise during installation or optimization phases. Effective collaboration is essential to align technical solutions with business goals, ensure seamless integration, and address challenges quickly. This cross-functional teamwork is a key part of delivering high-quality network performance and meeting project deadlines.

These roles often require advanced skills, certifications, and experience, and can offer salaries significantly higher than entry-level positions.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Executive RAN Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Executive RAN Engineer, you need in-depth knowledge of radio access network (RAN) technologies, cellular standards (such as LTE and 5G), and a degree in telecommunications or a related field. Proficiency with network planning tools, monitoring systems, and certifications like CCNA or relevant vendor-specific credentials are typically required. Strong analytical thinking, leadership, and effective communication skills help you manage teams and complex projects successfully. Account Executive, Job Outcomes

About Pursuit

Pursuit is a social impact organization building the future of economic mobility in the age of AI.
For over a decade, we've transformed lives through immersive training programs that propel adults from low-income backgrounds - often without college degrees - into high-growth tech careers. Our graduates have already generated nearly $1 billion in lifetime wage gains. We've also pioneered the Pursuit Bond, an innovative outcomes-based financing model that aligns investor returns with long-term economic mobility, allowing us to scale impact in a financially sustainable way.
Now, as AI reshapes every industry, Pursuit is evolving into an AI-native organization. We're training AI-native talent, embedding AI into our operations, and building scalable software to extend our impact. From grassroots partnerships to national policy, we're not just filling jobs - we're rethinking how economic opportunity works at scale.

About the Role

Pursuit is seeking a highly driven, relationship-oriented Account Executive to help scale employer partnerships and drive successful job placements for Pursuit Builders entering new careers. Reporting to the Head of Job Outcomes, this person will own employer outreach and hiring pipelines from first conversation through successful placement, acting as a trusted external representative of Pursuit in the market.
This is a full-cycle sales role focused on generating new employer partnerships and driving successful hiring outcomes. The person in this role will own the sales process end-to-end - from outbound prospecting and discovery through pitch, relationship management, builder matching and preparation, and successful placement close.
This role will work closely with the broader jobs and program teams, including leadership across employer partnerships. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong sales or business development background who thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments, enjoys building relationships, is mission driven, and is motivated by ambitious goals and measurable outcomes. We would also prioritize someone who integrates AI into their workflows to increase efficacy across the sales process.
This role is heavily focused on net-new employer acquisition and outbound relationship development rather than long-term account management. It is critical to Pursuit's mission of creating life-changing economic mobility opportunities for talented individuals.

What You'll Do

  • Own and manage a pipeline of employer relationships from outbound outreach through confirmed hire
  • Conduct high-volume outbound outreach and discovery conversations with hiring managers, recruiters, and talent leaders
  • Pitch Pursuit Builders and communicate the value of partnering with Pursuit to prospective employers
  • Build relationships with technical and operational buyers including Heads of Engineering, Product leaders, Talent Acquisition teams, HR leaders, and COOs
  • Identify and develop opportunities for hiring partnerships and new employer relationships
  • Identify and submit Builder candidates to open opportunities and help shepherd interview processes through close
  • Collaborate with internal program teams to support candidate preparation and interview readiness
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, outreach activity, and employer records across internal systems
  • Participate in weekly jobs team meetings, placement strategy discussions, and cross-functional collaboration

About You

  • 2-5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, partnerships, recruiting, or a related client-facing role
  • Proven track record of hitting quotas, targets, or measurable business outcomes
  • Experience owning a full sales cycle, including outbound prospecting and closing
  • Comfortable with high-volume outreach and managing multiple active relationships simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communicator who can confidently represent Pursuit externally
  • Comfortable engaging with technical and operational stakeholders across different company sizes
  • Organized, self-directed, and proactive with strong follow-through
  • Energized by ambitious goals, fast-moving environments, and pipeline-driven work
  • Scrappy, resilient, and resourceful when navigating challenges or building new relationships
  • Experience in consultative or service-oriented sales environments preferred
  • Excited by the opportunity to combine sales, mission, and relationship-building in a high-impact role
  • Curious about emerging AI tools, eager to experiment, and excited to build smarter systems and processes that drive better outcomes at scale.
  • You care deeply about equity, access, and expanding opportunity for underrepresented communities

Where You'll Work

Hybrid: 3 days a week in our HQ in Long Island City and 2 days wherever you work best.

Compensation

$140,000-$150,000 base salary + performance-based incentive structure tied to placement outcomes with an OTE package at $180,000
The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.

Pursuit Offers

  • An opportunity to work at the intersection of tech and social impact, and make a direct impact on the communities of those we serve
Competitive compensation including base salary, bonus, and a full benefits package
    401(k) match
Unlimited PTO and an all-Pursuit summer break the last week of August and a week-long holiday the last week of December
Hybrid workspace: Tuesday-Thursday onsite in Long Island City, Monday and Friday work-from-anywhere policy
Catered lunches once a week and delicious snacks
Dedicated time to build in AI and hone your AI skills

Pursuit Values Diversity

Our team has a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and we value the richness that diversity brings to our organization. We welcome new perspectives and affirm that all employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, ancestry, religion, national origin, age, familial or marital status, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, gender identity or expression, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
Pursuit is an equal opportunity employer.
