Job description

We are currently looking to hire a Travel Executive Protection Agent to join our team embedded with our client in Washington, D.C.!ย 

*This is a full-time position based in the Washington, D.C. area that requires 50% travel with our client and will provide executive protection services, as required, with some last-minute requests.ย 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Travel Executive Protection Agent (Armed), based in Washington, D.C., is responsible for providing high-level executive protection services to designated principals. This role focuses on protective operations, advanced planning, and risk mitigation across residential, travel, and global environments. The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional capable of operating independently and as part of a team while executing protective operations at the highest standard.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the Travel Executive Protection Agent include, but are not limited to:

Executive Protection & Protective Operationsย 

  • Provide close protection and low-profile security support to principals across travel, events, and daily activities
  • Conduct advance planning, site assessments, and trip briefings to identify and mitigate risk
  • Support protective operations, ensuring readiness and adherence to established protocols
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, internal teams, and external partners as needed
  • Deliver real-time risk assessments and communicate potential threats to personnel, assets, or reputation
  • Execute daily operations, including movements, coverage, and logistical coordination
  • Maintain operational readiness of equipment, vehicles, and supporting materials
  • Adapt to dynamic schedules and evolving operational requirements while maintaining professionalism

Program Management & Strategyย 

  • Directly support the protective services program, ensuring alignment with client expectations and global standards
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and escalation protocols for protective operations
  • Identify gaps in processes, resources, and coverage; implement solutions as part of the broader security strategy
  • Lead internal initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of security operations
  • Oversee quality control measures across employees, embedded staff, and contracted resources
  • Assist in budget development, forecasting, and resource planning

Emergency & Incident Responseย 

  • Act as the lead responder during emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, security threats, and severe weather events
  • Coordinate response efforts with emergency services and external partners
  • Prepare detailed incident reports, conduct debriefs, and recommend corrective actions

Client Coordination & Relationship Managementย 

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders regarding security operations and transportation logistics.ย 
  • Maintain strong relationships with client teams and ensure services align with expectations
  • Proactively communicate service updates, risks, and operational improvements
  • Meet with clients to define protective service needs and deliverables.

Administrative & Reportingย 

  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and incident reports.ย 
  • Track KPIs, operational trends, and risks; provide regular reporting to leadership and clients.
  • Prepare briefings, updates, and strategic reports as required.ย 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 4+ years of Executive Protection experience required
  • Prior military background strongly preferred
  • Must possess a valid concealed carry permit (CCW) in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia
  • Capability to obtain LEOSA certification strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Familiarity with cameras, alarms, access control, and smart-home systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors in the Washington, D.C., climate
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check
  • This position requires up to 50% travel, with the flexibility to travel when operational needs arise
