The ECS headquarters team provides key support for its electrical and mechanical companies, including finance and accounting, human resources, legal, national purchasing and information technology.


EMCOR Construction Services, Inc. (ECS) seeks manager, ERP Implementations. The Manager, ERP Implementations is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities related to the ERP Implementations. Systems supported include primarily Vista applications and other business systems. Currently our ECS Vista team supports 26 companies running the Vista ERP software and we are structured to internally support 2 new implementations per year. This position would primarily be dedicated to leading new implementation planning, training and end user support, but would also assist as needed with projects related to support of our broader Vista community.

The ECS Headquarters is located in McLean, VA. However, candidates in other locations and meeting the requirements will be considered as this position can be performed remotely by a successful candidate located near a major airport and able to travel up to 30% by car (as passenger or driver) or by airplane.

Compensation Range:   $90,000 - $150,000

This position is bonus eligible.

  • Drive the implementation projectโ€™s overall flow effectively from inception to
  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate project activities to meet deadlines
  • Manage implementation team to prioritize and assign tasks, monitor progress and mentor team to continue to build knowledge and provide growth opportunities
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, operating company leadership, support team or consultants to discuss and resolve matters such as work processes, complaints, or software problems.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking
  • Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with EMCOR SOP and reporting
  • Monitor and update project schedule showing completion, go-live schedule and resource
  • Host and attend all necessary meetings with both internal and external entities to review scheduling and delivery, work plans, job progress, manpower, and solutions to setbacks.
  • Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the ERP Implementation Manager & Operating Company CEO with recommendation for resolution.
  • Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as
  • Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by
  • Respond to end user requests for assistance; troubleshoot reported issues and work closely with the Application Administrator using ticketing system.
  • Develop and document business, technical system and application processes, functions and
  • Manage additional ERP and ECS initiatives and projects as requested; may require analysis of financial and other reports, report preparation and other documentation.
  • Assist end users with evaluating options for process improvement through utilization of Vista tools and technology
  • Support end user training and roll-out of software best practices
  • Work with team to track progress and organize implementation project plan steps to make sure that critical path items are being properly prioritized and schedule is maintained

Position Requirements/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Five or more (5+) years of experience in construction or related
  • Extensive knowledge of Vista software, including Vista Web, required
  • Lead role in an ERP implementation (accounting or operations).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft

Characteristics of work experience should demonstrate a background with a bias for action, management of complex multiple tasks and experience working in a multi-disciplined environment.
