Description

The Full Time Executive Housekeeper will be an integral part of a dedicated and highly skilled team responsible for providing outstanding customized service to our clients. The individual in this role will be responsible for providing cleaning and interior maintenance of a private estate, as well as assisting with exemplary hospitality service.

Reporting Relationship: Manager of Domestic Services

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with cleaning, vacuuming, dusting floors, ceilings, furnishings, hallways, fixtures, bathrooms, mirrors, and emptying trash containers. 
  • Laundry, iron, fold, and put away.
  • Assist with interior window and screen cleaning.
  • Scrub and polish floors.
  • Clean and organize drawers, cabinets, and cupboards.
  • Change linens and towels.
  • Assist with the inventory of household supplies and tracking related costs.
  • Assist with special events/dinner parties, including preparing proper table and linen setting; conducting set-up/tear-down of buffet and beverage stations; assisting the Chef
  • Ensure services are performed at the highest level of quality and hospitality.
  • Ensure that all household spaces are maintained to the highest cleanliness levels and that all housekeeping tasks are performed as requested
  • Efficiently communicate with other staff; attentively listen, ask questions, work well with others, and demonstrate a desire to be part of a team.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned and in the absence of other staff

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Housekeeping experience.
  • Experience caring and cleaning luxury homes, hotels, inns, yachts, etc. is preferred.
  • Hospitality experiences an advantage.
  • Training in and/or an eye for aesthetics is important.
  • Excellent knowledge of household table etiquette, service, and entertaining protocol is an advantage.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Full flexibility in schedule to meet requirements/needs which includes day shifts; evening shifts; weekends and Holiday shifts.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to travel and work at winter and summer homes.
  • Must be responsible, dedicated, and dependable.
  • Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service with a professional, tactful demeanor.
  • Uncompromised commitment to the highest level of confidentiality and to privacy in all aspects.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to work at a physically demanding pace.
  • Ability to lift thirty (30) pounds to a maximum height of six (6) feet.
  • Ability to remain standing for lengthy periods of time; climb steps and stairs; stoop, bend, and kneel.
  • Ability to stand on small step stool to accomplish cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to push/pull vacuum cleaner and operate household maintenance equipment for lengthy periods of time.

SUMMARY:

You will be part of a diverse, friendly, hard-working team dedicated to providing a positive and peaceful living environment to the principals and their guests. All duties and tasks are to be conducted around the family's activities with sensitivity to privacy. Flexibility and team guidance will assist with which rooms to clean and occupy in order to respect the principals.
