Job description

Job Summary
The Associate Account Executive is responsible for maintaining relationships on an assigned book of business under the direction and leadership of the Account Executive. Grow assigned book of business through new lines of coverage and provide Risk Management expertise to Clients. Provide direction and leadership to account Service Team on assigned book of business or as directed by the Account Executive.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Manage and retain assigned book of business and pursue new opportunities for the assigned book of business, where appropriate and as directed by the Account Executive.
  • Prepare Client Renewal Strategy and ensure they agree with Client's requests & requirements.
  • Managing overall insurance renewal process including preparation and presentation of Marketing Submission, Renewal Proposals, Binders and Stewardship Reports on assigned book of business and as directed by the Account Executive.
  • Spends approximately 20% of time outside with Clients and Underwriters. Establish, implement and monitor Service Plan for assigned Clients and as directed by the Account Executive.
  • Communicates with Account Executive, Producers and Senior Account Executive on significant issues/concerns impacting assigned accounts and as directed by the Account Executive.
  • Assist in establishing Loss Control and Claims activity for assigned Clients and as directed by the Account Executive. Retain overall responsibility for the implementation of these services.
  • Provide leadership mentoring and training to Service Team as directed by the Account Executive.
  • Attend and actively participate in Account Executive only meetings.
  • Maintain relationship with all levels of Client's decision makers on assigned book of business in order to effectively consult and influence the Client on insurance issues.
  • Accept assignment as an Insurance Carrier liaison. Responsible for the development and management of carrier relationship. Tasks include organizing carrier office visits and events and providing recurring updates on carrier appetite and points of contact.
  • Participate on various committees as assigned.

Other Functions
  • Responsible for overseeing invoicing of assigned Clients within established guidelines. Manage accounts receivables within established guidelines.
  • Responsible for basic knowledge of Document Management System (WorkSmart) and Agency Management System (Sagitta) to manage Clients and Team.
  • Adheres to Company Policies and other guidelines.
  • Remains current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverages and technology.
  • Attend various internal and external meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Eight years minimum of commercial, multi-line property and casualty brokerage experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Independent, flexible, self-starter who can multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; Word and Excel encouraged.
  • Experience with Sagitta or other large agency management system preferred.
  • Strong problem solving, interpersonal, financial, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization and client service skills.
  • Previous experience in insurance marketing.
  • Strong leadership skills. Ability to promote teamwork within a unit.
  • Strong problem solving and "can do" attitude.
  • Develop and manage key relationships at all levels within the Conner Strong organization along with outside clients and carriers.
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing high pressure organization/environment.

Compensation:
Salary for this position ranges from $125,000.00 - $140,000.00. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
Qualifying positions will also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, such as participation in family medical and dental insurance programs, 401K plan, and PTO.

Working Conditions
Office environment with moderate noise level; able to work flexible hours and travel to other Conner Strong offices and Client work sites as needed.
