JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Role: Partner, Finance

The Partner, Finance is a senior business development leader responsible for building and growing Amplēo's finance practice within their area of industry and domain expertise. This role is the face of Amplēo in the market — opening doors, closing engagements, cultivating a reputation as the go-to finance advisor in their niche, and ensuring every client experiences the full value of our cross-functional platform.

This is primarily a sales and client-leadership role. Our fractional CFOs and consultants own the day-to-day delivery. The Partner, Finance brings the business in, may step in as a high-level strategic advisor on select engagements, and drives long-term growth across the book.

Partners are expected to develop a vertical — whether that's cybersecurity, quantum, robotics, deep-tech, SaaS, manufacturing, or another sector where they have deep credibility — and build Amplēo's brand and footprint in that space.

This is a performance-driven role for a finance executive who thrives in growth environments and is motivated by building something of their own inside a platform that supports them.

This opportunity is open to candidates residing in or actively serving the Orange County, CA; Austin, TX; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO, Charlotte, NC; Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA; Phoenix, AZ; Seattle, WA; and Boise, ID markets. Candidates should possess strong local business networks and a demonstrated ability to develop executive-level relationships within their region and industry sector.

On-Target Earnings (OTE): $250,000–$350,000+, with uncapped commission and significant upside potential for top performers.

What You'll Own

  • Identify, develop, and close new finance and advisory engagements.

  • Build and grow a specialized industry practice based on personal expertise and market credibility.

  • Develop referral partnerships and strategic relationships that generate recurring business opportunities.

  • Serve as the executive relationship owner for client accounts.

  • Provide high-level financial and strategic guidance while collaborating with delivery teams responsible for day-to-day execution.

  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through additional Amplēo service offerings.

  • Represent Amplēo at industry events, networking functions, and business development activities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support revenue growth and client success.

  • Contribute market insights to support service development, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Maintain accountability for revenue goals, pipeline development, and client retention.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, consulting, business advisory, or executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or client acquisition within professional services environments.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to build credibility with business owners, executives, and board members.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining strategic business relationships. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to assess business challenges and recommend strategic solutions.
  • Must currently reside in or actively serve one of the following markets: Orange County, CA; Austin, TX; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; or Boise, ID.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and leverage a professional network within the local business community.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
