New DEPUTY GENERAL COUNSEL role that will report to the Chief Legal Officer for a fast growing PE backed industrial company. Will be the CLO's "right-hand" person and day-to-day lead on all commercial and corporate transactions. North Atlanta based, Hybrid (2 days a week in the office). Local candidates only.

What the job is about:

  • Will be the CLO's "right-hand" person
  • Will have overall responsibility for all things contracts including structuring, negotiating, drafting and reviewing
  • Will be responsible for streamlining the contract process which will include improving the contract management systems and processes currently used
  • Will work very closely with the sales teams along with other business management executives
  • Will assist in hiring a more junior corporate attorney and manage that new hire along with a paralegal and contract manager
  • Will assist with mergers and acquisitions
  • Will be involved with numerous different projects

What you will bring:

  • JD + 10 years of corporate / commercial experience with a strong preference for both firm and prior in-house experience. Prior in-house experience is a must.
  • Must possess extensive contracts experience including experience with contract management systems
  • Prior experience updating contract management systems is strongly preferred
  • Must possess very strong oral and written communication skills
  • Prior people management experience preferred but not necessary
  • Prior industrial or manufacturing experience is necessary
  • A willingness to roll up your sleeves
