EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, CAPITAL MARKETS

Reports to: CEO | Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) | Travel: 20%–30% domestic

ABOUT NECTAR

Nectar is an Atlanta-based real estate investment management platform revolutionizing capital access for real estate operators and income investors. Founded by experienced real estate operators, Nectar provides flexible capital to experienced real estate sponsors holding low-leveraged, cash-flowing assets.

By turning stable property cash flows into structured, liquid capital, Nectar enables real estate entrepreneurs to scale their businesses. Simultaneously, Nectar offers investors access to high-yielding, downside-protected real estate credit investments. Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, Nectar is scaling rapidly to become the leading capital platform for mid-market real estate sponsors across the United States.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Nectar is seeking a high-conviction Executive Vice President, Capital Markets to build and lead our end-to-end capital formation engine. This executive will define the fundraising strategy, raise capital across investor segments, and scale a world-class sales and investor relations team.

This is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership role for an executive with a proven track record of raising institutional and private capital, an established network of LP relationships, deep expertise in real estate or private credit, and the operational rigor to build a modern capital-raising function from the ground up.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN Strategic Capital Formation & Sales Execution
  • Lead Capital Raising: Own and execute the firm-wide capital-raising strategy across High-Net-Worth (HNW) investors, Family Offices, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), Impact/ESG Investors, and Institutional Capital.
  • Active Player-Coach: Lead high-value institutional and lead-investor deal cycles as the firm’s primary capital markets spokesperson while managing and mentoring the sales force.
  • Full Fundraising Lifecycle: Drive the process from sourcing and qualification through diligence, legal close, onboarding, ongoing investor relations, and re-ups.
  • Institutional Readiness: Prepare fund documentation, investor messaging, data-room materials, and other collateral to institutional standards.
  • Pipeline Management: Build and manage a structured sales pipeline with clear metrics, conversion benchmarks, precise forecasting, and CRM discipline.
Team Building & Investor Relations
  • Hire & Scale: Recruit, mentor, and build a top-tier team of sales and investor relations professionals to support expanding distribution channels.
  • Investor Relations Strategy: Oversee the post-close LP experience, including reporting, capital calls, distributions, AGM planning, and ongoing communications to maximize retention and re-up rates.
Cross-Functional Execution
  • Product Alignment: Partner with Investment and Underwriting to translate fund performance, credit strategy, and market opportunities into compelling narratives and pitch materials.
  • Technology & Operations: Work with Product, Engineering, and Operations to create frictionless onboarding, scalable LP-portal workflows, and automated CRM architecture.
  • Regulatory & Legal Oversight: Collaborate with Legal and Compliance so fundraising activity, placement-agent relationships, and marketing collateral adhere to SEC, state, and relevant securities regulations.
WHO YOU ARE
  • Experience: 10+ years of senior capital-raising or investor relations experience at a private credit fund, real estate investment manager, alternative asset manager, or placement agent.
  • Network: An established, active network of LP relationships across Family Offices, RIAs, High-Net-Worth platforms, and Institutional Investors.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of real estate investment strategies, private credit structures, debt yield mechanics, and mezzanine/bridge finance frameworks.
  • Track Record: Proven history of personally originating and closing multi-million-dollar commitments and building systematic distribution models.
  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related quantitative field required; MBA, CFA, CAIA, and relevant FINRA licenses (e.g., Series 7, 63, or 82) preferred.
HOW YOU LEAD
  • Builder Mentality: Thrives in an agile, entrepreneurial setting and moves seamlessly between strategy and hands-on client coverage.
  • Tech-Forward Mindset: Uses modern financial technology, CRM automation, and digital LP portals to maximize coverage and conversion efficiency.
  • Intellectual Rigor & Credibility: Engages sophisticated LPs, institutional consultants, and family-office principals with analytical depth.
  • Low-Ego Leadership: Values cross-functional alignment across underwriting, technology, legal, and executive leadership.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE — FIRST 12–18 MONTHS
  • Capital Inflow Targets: Own and execute against targeted capital-raising goals across private wealth, family-office, and institutional channels.
  • Distribution Footprint: Establish active channels across RIA networks, independent broker-dealer platforms, and multi-family-office cohorts.
  • Team Expansion: Recruit and integrate core investor relations and sales-support personnel to scale LP coverage and onboarding capacity.
  • Infrastructure & Platform: Optimize LP-portal workflows, CRM pipeline analytics, and institutional-grade reporting standards.
LOCATION & TRAVEL
  • Atlanta, GA HQ: Hybrid/flexible, with regular presence at headquarters for leadership alignment and cross-functional coordination.
  • Travel: Approximately 20%–30% domestic travel for LP roadshows, prospective-investor meetings, and key industry conferences.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Base Salary: Competitive, market-rate executive base salary commensurate with experience and track record.
  • Variable / Performance Compensation: Significant upside through an annual bonus and capital-raising incentive program tied to AUM growth, capital inflows, and channel-development milestones.
  • Equity Incentive: Meaningful equity ownership in Nectar’s long-term growth and enterprise value.
  • Comprehensive Medical Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
